Our little shop is named The Suitcase Shop because it all fits into a little suitcase in the camping office. This blog is a description of most of what we do have to sell.
Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate
There is a small coffee machine in the shop selling delicious Moonroast Coffee. Moonroast Coffee is a supplier of award winning speciality coffee. All their beans are ethically sourced from the best small holders, graded 80+ and hand roasted just down the road.
This treat is to save you time when there is bacon to be cooked and the camping morning to be enjoyed.
What camping trip is not complete without a toasted marshmallow?! Branded pink and white marshmallows are available in case they were forgotten on the supermarket list
As well as fabulous marshmallows from Belinda Clark, exclusive supplier to Fortnum and Mason. Her delicious S’mores (for grown ups) are outstanding- each box is packed with goodies including:
12 hand-made Salted Caramel Marshmallows, 12 Belgian Dark Chocolate thins, 24 Almond Biscuits, 6 sticks for toasting.
They have even included the fire for you – each box contains a non-toxic, smokeless and odourless gel burner that lasts for up to two hours. And if you don’t need the full two hours, just pop the lid on to put the flame out, cool, and store until you want to re-light it again!
Put a chocolate thin on top of a biscuit, lightly toast your marshmallow, and sandwich the whole lot together with another biscuit to make the perfect summer treat. Yummy!
No summers day is complete without an ice cream. We are really spoilt as the delicious Sundaes Child agreed to stock our shop freezer at Holden Farm. Karen makes each ice cream to her own recipe and delivers them to us from Romsey. This is ice cream at its best; handmade and from a local small family business. Flavours change regularly; you are always in for a treat.
What is a holiday without writing a postcard?!
Drawn by the talented Annie Brougham who came to stay on site in 2017 – we have postcards available in the shop for you to send to your friends and family.
As I said in the beginning it is not the biggest of shops but what we offer should enhance your stay with us. We also have some helpful bits like camping gaz, matches, marshmallows sticks.
For anything else left behind we thoroughly recommend our Village Shop. A 3 min drive away, open from 7am to 6pm (apart from Sundays 8am-1pm). This has all your staples and you can pre-order using the Village Shop order form.
