The 2018 season begins on Friday 30th March – we look forward to welcoming you to Holden Farm.
Holden Farm is home to a wonderful family campsite in the heart of Hampshire countryside. Furthermore Holden Farm is a working arable and sheep farm. Our traditional campsite is set in a beautiful spacious field surrounded by farm land. At night, once you have pitched your tent, you can stargaze under the National Park Dark Skies and listen to the barn owls.
At the end of the 2017 season we were stunned and very pleased to have been awarded the CPRE Hampshire Award for Rural Enterprise recognising our work with our local community.
Holden Farm Camping at Holden Farm, Cheriton in the South Downs National Park was established to diversify the farming business of a fourth-generation farmer by offering camping where visitors can learn about nature, understand and enjoy the rural landscape and watch a farm at work.
Debbie Jones, Executive Director at Hildon said: “Holden Farm Camping is at heart a very simple campsite offering families a low-cost way of coming to enjoy the countryside.
The judges were impressed with the way that the business has faced up to the challenges that an influx of people presents. Rebecca Corbett has demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm and creativity in making sure that her new business enterprise makes a minimal impact on the beautiful local countryside – especially through her passion for re-cycling, while at the same time bringing benefits to the local economy and the neighbouring community.”
We believe Holden Farm to be a very special place and it is wonderful to have had this recognised. As guardians of this land for over 100 years we look forward to welcoming you to this traditional family farm.
Holden Farm is also home to some very special free range chickens and doves, a few ponies and plenty of sheep. We have other businesses on the farm including self storage and a working garage so you could book your car in for an MOT or service while on site, read more about the farm here.
